Winter Lights

Grade K-3

Winter Lights aims to teach students about a variety of winter holidays celebrated by different cultures in Nanaimo, focusing on light as a common theme.  

Students will follow lights through the gallery to play dreidel, make a holiday card, and watch Lights for Gita, a National Film Board cartoon about Diwali. They’ll also hear childhood memories shared by community members who celebrate these holidays. 

This is an in-person, in-museum program. 

• 90 minutes. 
• Museum Program: $75 per class
