Volunteers are a very important key to the success of the museum – they support staff and provide programming.

Quite simply, the museum could not operate without the help of the wonderful volunteers of Nanaimo. Volunteering is fun and rewarding at the museum. Volunteers receive several benefits including a free one-year museum membership, 15% gift shop discount, seasonal newsletter, regular exhibit and event information, and voting rights at the Annual General Meeting.
