Explore the recreated mine to learn about coal resources in Nanaimo, technology and working conditions. A visit to the Miner’s Cottage is a step back in time to the earliest days of coal mining in Nanaimo. Discrimination faced by Chinese and Italian miners is touched on. 

This is an in-person, in-museum program.
