The Crime & Punishment Lantern Tour features stories about some of Nanaimo’s most notorious outlaws and daring heists. Join us for these mostly outdoor walking tours of downtown to hear about the darker side of Nanaimo’s history while visiting local landmarks.
What to bring:
- Comfortable walking shoes
- Weather-appropriate clothing
- Water
- Courage!
Cost: $15 per person
Age: 12 years+ recommended (mature content)
Duration: 90 minutes
The tours run 5:00pm- 6:30pm and 6:30pm-8:00pm, rain or (moon)shine. The routes start at the Museum and include hills and walking approximately 1.5km around downtown.
The Crime & Punishment Lantern Tour route is wheelchair accessible.
Pre-registration is required. More dates may open depending on demand. Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable to other tour dates. However, if you are feeling ill or have flu-like symptoms, please do not attend. In this case, we will either do our best to transfer your tickets to another date (depending on availability) or arrange a refund.
The Nanaimo Museum is a non-profit society, and all ticket proceeds go directly back into funding for programs like this one. Thank you!
Although online payment is made through PayPal, a PayPal account is not required, only a credit card or debit card. Please note that no physical ticket will be issued. Your spot in this tour is confirmed once you have the PayPal transaction confirmation. Registration can also be made over the phone or in person.
