Reflections on “A Seat at the Table”

Join Dr. Imogene Lim as she reflects, with stories, on what the phrase “a seat at the table” means to her.  Food is the obvious one, but it is also about belonging and acceptance.  Her talk is in conjunction with the travelling exhibit at the Nanaimo Museum, A Seat at the Table, on loan from the Chinese Canadian Museum.  Dr. Lim is a retired professor at Vancouver Island University, a descendant of Chinese head-tax payers, a founding board member of the Chinese Canadian Museum, and a contributor to A Seat at the Table.

The presentation is 45 minutes long with 15 mins at the end for Q&A
