A Spooky Mini-Exhibit, back from the dead!

Dates: Tuesdays-Saturdays, October 1-31, 2025

Explore Halloween’s deep and tangled roots this October at Nanaimo Museum!  

Between October 1 and 31, visit the museum gallery for the Return to the Pumpkin Patch mini exhibit!  

On the lighter side of Halloween, learn about Halloween food and Samhain traditions, and share your own! 

On the darker side of Halloween, share a ghost story, figure out if bats really do drink blood, and delve into the mysteries of Tarot.  

Saturday Crafts!  

On Saturdays in October, make your own paper plate pumpkin or ghost to add to our pumpkin patch selfie station!  

On Saturday, October 25, BYOP (bring your own pumpkin) and join us for a special pumpkin painting day! Pumpkins will not be supplied, but paint, markers, and other decorations will be available    

I Spy: Bats! 

Look out for 13 bats hanging around in the gallery – can you spot them all? 

Return to the Pumpkin Patch is included in museum admission and is fun for all ages. No pre-registration required.
