The Brother XII presentation, led by curator Aimee Greenaway, examines the history of Edward Wilson and his rise and fall as Brother XII from a spiritual teacher to high-profile court cases, scandals and conspiracy theories. His followers’ stories, including Madame Zee and respected astrologer Coulson Turnbull, illuminate this dark chapter in Nanaimo’s history. Stories and photos provide insight into this infamous and controversial historical figure.

Cost: $10 per person

Age: 12+ recommended (mature content)

Duration: 60 minutes

This presentation takes place from 6:30-7:30pm on the video platform Zoom.

Upon booking, you will receive a link to the Zoom meeting. Please click the link and join the call approximately 15 minutes in advance of the start time to check-in. If you experience any technical difficulties trying to join the presentation, please email and we will do our best to help you as soon as possible. No Zoom account is required, but if this is the first time you’ve used Zoom, you’ll be prompted to download a small app, and then be automatically connected.

Pre-registration is required. Due to the popularity of the Brother XII Presentations, tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable to other presentation dates. The Nanaimo Museum is a non-profit society and all ticket proceeds go directly back into funding for programs like this one. Thank you!

Although online payment is made through PayPal, a PayPal account is not required, only a credit card or debit card. Please note that there will be no physical ticket issued.
