The Brother XII presentation, led by curator Aimee Greenaway, examines the history of Edward Wilson and his rise and fall as Brother XII from a spiritual teacher to high-profile court cases, scandals and conspiracy theories. His followers’ stories, including Madame Zee and respected astrologer Coulson Turnbull, illuminate this dark chapter in Nanaimo’s history. Stories and photos provide insight into this infamous and controversial historical figure.

Cost: $10 per person

Age: 12+ recommended (mature content)

Duration: 60 minutes

This presentation takes place from 6:30-7:30pm at the Nanaimo Museum.

Please arrive at the Museum approximately 15 minutes in advance of the start time to check-in. The Museum is located at 100 Museum Way, downtown Nanaimo, next to Serious Coffee on Commercial St.

Pre-registration is required. Due to the popularity of the Brother XII Presentations, tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable to other presentation dates. However, if you are feeling ill or have symptoms of COVID-19, please do not attend. In this case, we will either do our best to transfer your tickets to another date (depending on availability), or arrange a refund. The Nanaimo Museum is a non-profit society and all ticket proceeds go directly back into funding for programs like this one. Thank you!

Although online payment is made through PayPal, a PayPal account is not required, only a credit card or debit card. Please note that there will be no physical ticket issued. Your spot for this presentation is confirmed once you have the PayPal transaction confirmation. Registration can also be made over the phone or in person.
