The Mid-Island Métis Nation and the Nanaimo Museum invite you to join us to kick off the city’s Métis Awareness Week (Nov 13-19) with a celebration of Métis heritage in Nanaimo!

See the redesigned HBC era permanent exhibit and hear live storytelling in the classroom. Enjoy the festivities including fiddle music, beading, history information, genealogy, information tables & displays, a reading corner and more! Light refreshments will be served, including bannock with saskatoon berry jam.

The formal program will begin at 1:00pm and the activities will run until 4:00pm. Hope to see you there!
