 r\n\nJoin other local home schoolers and distance learners in this special
  session of Enemy Aliens: First World War Internment.  \n\nDuring the Fir
 st World War\, Canada interned 8\,579 people identified as “Enemy Aliens
 \,” mainly Ukrainian and German immigrants\, across a network of 24 camp
 s including one in Nanaimo. Enemy Aliens: First World War Internment (gr. 
 6-10) examines this historical injustice and its legacies\, focusing on th
 e stories of people in Nanaimo who were designated “Enemy Aliens\,” in
 cluding those interned at the Nanaimo Internment Camp on Stewart Avenue. 
  \n\nThis program takes place in the feature exhibit Enemy Aliens – Int
 ernment in Canada\, 1914-1920\, on loan from the Canadian War Museum and d
 eveloped in partnership with the Ukrainian Canadian Civil Liberties Founda
 tion.  \n\nThis is a 90-minute\, in-person program that takes place at
  Nanaimo Museum. \n\n\nPre-registration is required. Caregivers must be p
 resent at all times. \n\nMasks are strongly recommended for all learners\
 , caregivers and guests aged 5 and up. We highly recommend masks for young
 er guests\, as the Museum is a public and tourist attraction.  Hand hygie
 ne will be maintained by the learners\, caregivers\, guests\, and staff me
 mbers throughout your visit.  \n\nIf you\, your learner\, or anyone in yo
 ur household feel ill\, are subject to a public health order to self-isola
 te\, or are waiting for a COVID-19 test result\, please do not attend this
  program. \n\nPublic Health Orders are changing frequently. Requirements 
 and availability of in-person learning visits are subject to change. We wi
 ll be in touch with registrants to update you as needed. \n\n&nbsp\;\n\nP
 re-registration is required. Tickets are non-refundable and non-transfera
 ble for other program dates\, except in specific cases:   \n\n 	If you\,
  your learner\, or anyone in your household feel ill\, are subject to a pu
 blic health order to self-isolate\, or are waiting for a COVID-19 test res
 ult\, please do not attend this program. \n 	If fewer than 5 learners reg
 ister\, this program will not proceed. In this case\, a refund will be iss
 ued. \n\nThe Nanaimo Museum is a non-profit society\, and all ticket proc
 eeds go directly back into funding for programs like this one. Thank you!
   \n\nAlthough online payment is made through PayPal\, a PayPal account 
 is not required\, only a credit card or debit card. Please note that there
