DESCRIPTION:Date: Saturday\, April 3\, 2027\nTime:  12:30pm - 3:30pm (3 ho
 urs)\nTickets: $60/person\, ages 15+\, Everyone Welcome!\nJoin Métis Know
 ledge Keeper / Elder Joy Bremner for a Métis cultural workshop at Nanaimo
  Museum! On Saturday\, April 3 from 12:30-3:30pm\, Joy will lead participa
 nts in creating a leather medicine pouch.\nParticipants will learn leather
  working and beading techniques. Participants can expect to complete or ne
 arly complete their project by the end of the workshop.\nMedicine pouches 
 are small bags that hold personal items of significance\, traditionally ca
 rried for protection.\nAll materials will be provided. No experience neces
 sary.This workshop is open to everyone\; it is not restricted to participa
 nts of Métis heritage.\nAges: 15+\nTickets: $60 per person\, and pre-regi
 stration is required. Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable to o
 ther dates or programs. A minimum of 10 guests is required for this progra
 m to proceed.\n&nbsp\;\nJoy Bremner\, Métis Knowledge Keeper / Elder\n\n\
 nJoy was born in Prince Albert\, Saskatchewan\, both of her parents Métis
 . The Métis Culture has been with her throughout her life\, as well as ma
 ny First Nations friends while living across Manitoba\, Saskatchewan\, Alb
 erta\, the Yukon and then settling on Vancouver Island.\n\nMentored by num
 erous Métis Old Ones (Elders) within many communities\, Joy has shared he
 r Métis cultural knowledge at Gatherings\, workshops\, and educational in
 stitutes with Métis youth and the general public. Joy practices a wide ra
 nge of activities\, including beading\, porcupine quill work\, moose hair 
 tufting\, leather-work\, traditional foods\, medicines\, weaving\, and the
  list goes on.\n\n&nbsp\;\nIMPORTANT PAYMENT INFORMATION:\nAlthough online
  payment is made through PayPal\, a PayPal account is not required\, only 
 a credit card or debit card. Please note that there will be no physical ti
 cket issued. Your spot in this program is confirmed once you have the Pa
 yPal transaction confirmation. Registration can also be made over the phon
