  hours)\nTickets: $50/person\, ages 15+\nJoin Métis Knowledge Keeper / El
 der Joy Bremner for a Métis cultural workshop at Nanaimo Museum! On Satur
 day\, November 7 from 12:30-3:30pm\, Joy will lead participants in creatin
 g their own beaded Poppy pin.\n\nParticipants will learn basic basic beadi
 ng skills needed for this project. Participants can expect to complete the
 ir pin by the end of the workshop or leave with the skills and materials t
 o finish their project at home.\n\nThese beaded poppies are a way of payin
 g tribute to Indigenous veterans in an act of recognition\, remembrance\, 
 gratitude\, and respect of all veterans. Indigenous Veterans’ Day is obs
 erved on November 8th each year across Canada.\nAll materials will be prov
 ided. No experience necessary.\nAges: 15+\nTickets: $50 per person\, and p
 re-registration is required. Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferab
 le to other dates or programs. A minimum of 10 guests is required for this
  program to proceed.\n&nbsp\;\nJoy Bremner\, Métis Knowledge Keeper / Eld
 er\n\n\nJoy was born in Prince Albert\, Saskatchewan\, both of her parents
  Métis. The Métis Culture has been with her throughout her life\, as wel
 l as many First Nations friends while living across Manitoba\, Saskatchewa
 n\, Alberta\, the Yukon and then settling on Vancouver Island.\n\nMentored
  by numerous Métis Old Ones (Elders) within many communities\, Joy has sh
 ared her Métis cultural knowledge at Gatherings\, workshops\, and educati
 onal institutes with Métis youth and the general public. Joy practices a 
 wide range of activities\, including beading\, porcupine quill work\, moos
 e hair tufting\, leather-work\, traditional foods\, medicines\, weaving\, 
 and the list goes on.\n\n&nbsp\;\nIMPORTANT PAYMENT INFORMATION:\nAlthough
  online payment is made through PayPal\, a PayPal account is not required\
 , only a credit card or debit card. Please note that there will be no phys
 ical ticket issued. Your spot in this program is confirmed once you have
  the PayPal transaction confirmation. Registration can also be made over t
