 nowledge Keeper / Elder Joy Bremner for a Métis cultural workshop at Nana
 imo Museum! On Saturday\, December 5 from 12:30-3:30pm\, Joy will lead par
 ticipants in creating their own beaded ornaments (2 per person).\nStarting
  with techniques to bead around the balls\, participants will learn to cre
 ate their own pattern and arrangement of bead colours. Participants can ex
 pect to complete one of the decorated balls by the end of the workshop and
  leave with the skills and materials to finish the other one at home.\nThe
 se beaded ornaments show the resourcefulness of the Métis as they created
  decorations each year as part of family traditions.\nAll materials will b
 e provided. No experience necessary. This workshop is open to everyone\; i
 t is not restricted to participants of Métis heritage.\nAges: 15+\nTicket
 s: $50 per person\, and pre-registration is required. Tickets are non-refu
 ndable and non-transferable to other dates or programs. A minimum of 10 gu
 ests is required for this program to proceed.\n&nbsp\;\nJoy Bremner\, Mét
 is Knowledge Keeper / Elder\n\n\nJoy was born in Prince Albert\, Saskatche
 wan\, both of her parents Métis. The Métis Culture has been with her thr
 oughout her life\, as well as many First Nations friends while living acro
 ss Manitoba\, Saskatchewan\, Alberta\, the Yukon and then settling on Vanc
 ouver Island.\n\nMentored by numerous Métis Old Ones (Elders) within many
  communities\, Joy has shared her Métis cultural knowledge at Gatherings\
 , workshops\, and educational institutes with Métis youth and the general
  public. Joy practices a wide range of activities\, including beading\, po
 rcupine quill work\, moose hair tufting\, leather-work\, traditional foods
 \, medicines\, weaving\, and the list goes on.\n\n&nbsp\;\nIMPORTANT PAYME
 NT INFORMATION:\nAlthough online payment is made through PayPal\, a PayPal
  account is not required\, only a credit card or debit card. Please note t
