Past Community Exhibit: The End Revisited
Our Fall community gallery display is a photographic survey of grave markers in cemeteries from Port Alberni to Duncan. The series of black & white photographs are taken with a tasteful artistic interpretation. A variety of marker types, stories, and image tones engages guests in a photographic tour of select cemeteries on central Vancouver Island.
Artist Statement: This exhibit presents the notion of cemetery markers as a means of exploring the past or remembering loved ones. We do this by visiting the markers or “revisiting” as the title suggests. The various images are presented in black & white to add a bit of drama to the scenes.
