Coal Miners Child for homeschool students

Experience what life was like for children in coal mining families 100 years ago. Students will visit the miners’ cottage to tour a typical home a mining family lived in. Take a seat in wooden desks complete with ink wells and participate in a lesson with a strict teacher. Play with toys that were popular in the early 1900s.

The program is Thursday, October 12, 2017.

Pre-registration and pre-payment is required and the cost is $5 per student which includes museum admission for caregivers and younger siblings. The minimum age for this program is 5 years old. Caregivers must be on-site at all times during the program. Please contact Stephanie by phone (250-753-1821) to register.
