Cemetery Tours-July 5th

From a madam in Nanaimo’s Red Light district to a local merchant who made a fortune in the Klondike gold rush, the Cemetery Tour highlights Nanaimo’s most interesting residents. The nearby community of Extension is featured with stories of the Italian family who owned the Tunnel Hotel & bar and a murder that remains unsolved after 120 years. Tours take place on the Thursday, July 5th and Thursday August 2nd, 10:00am-11:30am.
Pre-registration is required and tour cost is $15. Group meets at the Howard Street entrance to the Nanaimo Public Cemetery (555 Bowen Road).
