Cedar to Coal
The arrival of Hudson’s Bay Company settlers changed the Snuneymuxw way of life. The impacts of colonization are examined by discussing First Nations resettlement from traditional village sites, the role of Snuneymuxw in a new economy and comparing technologies used by Snuneymuxw and settlers.
The program is Tuesday, April 4 1:00pm-2:30pm.
Pre-registration and pre-payment is required and the cost is $5 per student which includes museum admission for caregivers and younger siblings. The minimum age for this program is 9 years old and the maximum age is 11 years old. Caregivers must be on-site at all times during the workshop.
